Touring with Suzanne Somers: My Experience as Her Keyboardist

Touring with Suzanne Somers

One of the highlights of my career as a professional keyboardist was touring with Suzanne Somers. Over the years, I had the opportunity to perform alongside Suzanne in venues across the United States, bringing her music and stage show to audiences who adored her.

Like most people, I was familiar with Suzanne from her television career, particularly her role on Three’s Company. What impressed me most, however, was her professionalism and dedication as a live performer. Night after night, she brought energy, charisma, and a genuine connection with her audience that helped make every performance special.

Touring offered the chance to perform in a wide variety of venues, from intimate theaters to large performing arts centers. Each city had its own personality, and every audience responded differently. As musicians, we learned to adapt to each room while maintaining the high standards that Suzanne expected of herself and everyone around her.

Of course, some of the best memories happened away from the spotlight. Long bus rides, rehearsals, sound checks, and conversations backstage often created the strongest bonds among the musicians and crew. Like many touring ensembles, we became a second family, sharing experiences that few people ever get to see.

Looking back, I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of Suzanne’s touring organization. The experience helped me grow as a musician and provided memories that I continue to cherish. It remains one of the many remarkable chapters in a career that has allowed me to work with extraordinary performers and bring music to audiences throughout the country.
