Personnel at Fin’s

The other performer or performers remain unidentified. Fulton’s keyboard role and the Fin’s location remain clear, but the available material does not name a singer, horn player, bassist, drummer, or group. That uncertainty remains intact rather than borrowing personnel from nearby dates at the same restaurant.

Westlake Village supplied the setting for this Fin’s Seafood Grill engagement. The restaurant operated at 982 S Westlake Blvd and later closed. The restaurant previously carried the Village Bayou name as well. As a result, Fulton’s repeated dates there created a recurring local chapter in his live keyboard work.

Westlake Village context

Westlake Village had already developed into an established residential and commercial community by the time of these engagements. The City of Westlake Village traces the modern community to master planning that began in the 1960s. The Los Angeles County portion incorporated as a city in 1981. Fin’s therefore sat within a growing suburban community that supported restaurants, nightlife, and live entertainment.

Fulton continued working across Southern California as a pianist and keyboardist during this stretch of his career. His keyboardist and pianist credits include additional club, restaurant, concert, and private-event work. The Fin’s dates show one part of that broader performance schedule. The restaurant became a recurring stop within that stretch of live work. They also capture the changing small-group combinations that could appear from one engagement to the next.

The result is a compact picture of one professional date: Fulton on keyboards, the named personnel for that night, and Fin’s Seafood Grill as the setting. A listed payment, when available, adds another concrete detail to the engagement. In addition, those specifics distinguish this appearance from the many other Fin’s dates in Fulton’s schedule.
