Bill Fulton on keys or piano with Accent

Accent at Westlake 19th Hole with Bill Fulton featured Fulton on piano and keyboards with Accent. The group performed at the 19th Hole, the lounge associated with Westlake Golf Course on Lakeview Canyon Road. Ronnie Crumbly is the other musician named in the surviving entry. In addition, he joined the group on saxophone.

The surviving entry is concise, but the venue gives the engagement a distinct setting. The golf-course lounge provided evening entertainment after the daytime activity on the course. Meanwhile, Accent’s appearance there paired Fulton’s keyboards with Crumbly’s saxophone. Also, both musicians appear in several entries connected with the group.

Accent at the 19th Hole

Today, Westlake Golf Course continues to operate at 4812 Lakeview Canyon Road. This is the same address attached to Fulton’s archived performance. In fact, the current course website confirms the location. Meanwhile, Fulton’s entry documents an Accent engagement in the former 19th Hole lounge.

Fulton’s original event note says the 19th Hole no longer exists. However, it also raises the possibility that the lounge space later continued under another name. The surviving facts document Accent at the Westlake Golf Course address. Fulton played keys, while Ronnie Crumbly played saxophone. As a result, those details distinguish this engagement from the fuller Accent lineup documented at Cheers in Simi Valley.

There, live keyboard work continued alongside his studies at the Dick Grove School of Music. At the same time, his composing and arranging career developed during the years that followed.

In addition, Fulton’s own site collects other appearances among his keyboardist and pianist credits. His arranging, composition and orchestration credits cover the writing side of his career. Finally, his present-day offerings are summarized under music services.
