Music part-taping device invented by Bill Fulton November 22, 2022. Patent pending
This is a Prototype of a device to aid in the taping of sheet music/orchestra parts together for recording sessions and live performance. The taping process in this video with this device, will be timed alongside the old-fashioned method of taping by hand for the sake of comparison. 16 pages (8 seams) will be taped for each method in this contest.
Taping is finished at 3:14 (3 minutes, 14 seconds) with this new device. Taping is finished with the old method at 4:19 (4 minutes, 19 seconds). That is a difference of 1:15 (1 minute 15 seconds) or 25% faster or 75% of the time it takes with the old method of taping by hand. 32 seconds per seam for the old way, and 24 seconds for the new way. As an example: Taping 500 pages of parts (250 seams) with the old method would take 2:15 (2 hours, 13 minutes). Taping 500 pages of parts (250 seams) with this new device would take one 1:40 (1 hour, 40 minutes). That is a savings of 33 minutes! Enough time for a short lunch or long coffee break!
I look forward to your comments on this new, potentially game-changing device for the recording industry.
Thanks!
Bill Fulton
