Paul Goldberg is a drummer, bandleader, and educator whose career has included extensive work in the Los Angeles jazz community. On Staircase to the Spirits, Goldberg leads a group through material that combines original compositions with established jazz repertoire. Fulton contributes keyboards to several tracks, providing harmonic support as well as an improvisational voice within the ensemble.
Among the selections featuring Fulton is “Nefertiti,” the Wayne Shorter composition closely associated with the Miles Davis Quintet.
