Bill Fulton on keys or piano with Accent
Bill Fulton and Accent at Westlake Golf Course placed Fulton on piano and keyboards with Accent at the 19th Hole. The lounge was associated with Westlake Golf Course on Lakeview Canyon Road. Ronnie Crumbly is the other musician named in the surviving entry, joining the group on saxophone.
The surviving entry is concise, but the venue gives the engagement a distinct setting. The golf-course lounge provided evening entertainment after the daytime activity on the course had ended. Accent’s appearance there paired Fulton’s keyboards with Crumbly’s saxophone. Both musicians also appear in other surviving entries connected with the group.
Accent at the 19th Hole
Today, Westlake Golf Course continues to operate at 4812 Lakeview Canyon Road. That is the same address attached to Fulton’s archived performance. The current course website confirms the location. Meanwhile, Fulton’s record preserves a piece of the property’s former nightlife through Accent’s appearance at the 19th Hole lounge.
Fulton’s original event note says the 19th Hole no longer exists. It also raises the possibility that the lounge space later continued under another name. However, the surviving facts tell the essential story. Accent appeared at Westlake Golf Course, Fulton played keyboards, and Ronnie Crumbly played saxophone. Those details distinguish the engagement from the fuller Accent lineup documented at Cheers in Simi Valley.

The engagement belongs to the Los Angeles chapter of Fulton’s performing career. His All About Jazz profile describes his move to Los Angeles in 1987. There, live keyboard work continued alongside his studies at the Dick Grove School of Music. His composing and arranging career also developed during this period.
Fulton’s website collects additional appearances among his keyboardist and pianist credits. His arranging, composition and orchestration credits cover the writing side of his career. In addition, his present-day work appears under music services.
